Stacked Huntington Beach: Now Open

Have you heard that Stacked: Food Well Built has arrived in Huntington Beach?  As of this week, it is now open!  Before you doing your shopping at Bella Terra, go across the street and build your meal your way with your table's iPad.

I was invited to a sneak peak of the new location and enjoyed a wonderful lunch date with my hubby.  I was having a rough morning and thought that I would see what "adult specials" were.

I was a little intrigued by the "Hot Chocolate Shake" and the "Ultimate Coffee Shake" but the drink that caught my eye was the "Not Your Father's Root Beer Shake".  I had never heard of the "Not Your Father's Root Beer" line of drinks but I will be seeking it out in the near future.  This delicious drink had the taste of a root beer float but with a little adult kick.  Yummm!

It makes me think out of the box about what delicious treats I have yet to discover.  It seems I find a new drink every time I go to Stacked!

We started off with one of my favorite classics, Spinach and Artichoke dip and chips.  I loved how fresh the chips were.  Our table of three devoured them in moments.

My husband tried the Prime Rib sandwich and gave it 2 thumbs up.  It was packed with the best cuts and included sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, Cherrywood smoked bacon, and a horseradish sauce.  It was definitely a manly sized sandwich and I wasn't sure that he would finish it.(but he did)

Since I was in the mood for a salad, I browsed the salads and the Cow in the Garden caught my eye.  Hmmm, surf and turf!  My favorite!  The balsamic vinaigrette hit the spot with the delicious sun-dried tomatoes, bleu cheese, onion strings and pepitas, I would eat it again.

I can't wait to return and try some of the desserts!  I was too full to enjoy them this trip but next time I won't make that mistake.
