I had the pleasure of seeing Cavalia's Odysseo a couple years ago when it was in Burbank and thought it was hands-down the most spectacular display of equestrian riders in world! In fact, most of the riders are from around the world. You can see my review of it here.
Coming back to Southern California, February 3, 2016, in Irvine, you might have seen the large white tent going up last week! Odysseo is unlike any show you have ever seen.
What is Odysseo? It is a live equestrian performance that tells tales from around the globe. It starts off in a misty enchanted forest where horses roam free under a sky of rolling clouds and setting sun. The horses and riders take its audience on a journey through the worlds natural wonders.
Using the mind-boggling theatrical effects and a state of the art video screen that is three times larger than the largest movie theater screens, it brings the world to the audience before our eyes. A three story mountain, a real lake with 40,000 gallons of recycled water, and a magical connection of horse and rider that takes your breath away.

Odysseo is the largest touring production and has the biggest touring tent on Earth! In fact, the surface covered by the Big White Tent is 68,000 square feet, equal to an NFL football field. The stage is larger than the Honda Center Ice Rink in Anaheim a whopping 17,500 square feet!
This remarkable celebration of horse and man, imagined by Normand Latourelle, one of the co-founders of Cirque du Soleil, marries the spectacular with the poetic. Since its Montreal world premiere in 2011, the Odysseo cast has already mesmerized more than 1.5 million spectators in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
