Find the Pot O' Cold at Farrell's Ice-Cream Parlour with Irish Goodies | @FarrellsIsBack #PotOCold

Saint Patrick's Day is all about the Luck O' the Irish, leprechaun's and great food.  Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour has put a new spin on both.

Corned Beef and Cabbage is a must in our house every March and it used to be a cut and dry meal with little variation.  Farrell's has turned this family favorite into something even better!  My family and I were invited to try the latest in Farrell's new monthly special menu items and it was a special treat.

My kids have been getting upset with us for leaving them out hubby's and my Farrell's lunch dates and we couldn't put off bringing them any longer.  The thought of "green food" had them excited.

The item of the day was the Blarney Burger with Irish Nachos.  No, they were not green but it did include our corned beef and cabbage with the classic hamburger.  The Irish nachos were delicious and tasted like a twice baked potato.

My kids are not as adventurous and hubby and I and chose the fish and chips.  To put my daughters words to paper, "It was the best fish she had ever had!"  My son actually tried our burgers and ate half of my husbands!  I guess his Irish is coming out in him.

Time had come for the "Main Course", I mean the ice-cream.  My kids were bummed that their clown sundaes weren't green but the helpful staff said no problem and changed up the sundaes to make mini- Pot O' Colds!  The Pot O' Cold sundae has 1 scoop of mint chip and 2 scoops of chocolate ice-cream. Topped with green whipped cream and chocolate sauce and cherries and accented with a Girl Scout Mint Chip cookie.  YUMMM!

Our Irish family loves celebrating St. Patrick's Day and Farrell's is allowing us to celebrate all through the month of March.  Even if you are not sure about the corned beef and cabbage, you can't go wrong with the Pot O' Cold sundae.

You can find the closest Farrell's and check out their full menu by going to their website at http://farrellsusa.com/.
