ROCKET FEVER: Great Family Event to Learn About Rockets | #Downey #Space

Kids

ROCKET FEVER

Do you have space enthusiasts in your house?  I do!  We love launching air-powered rockets at our local parks.  Motor run rockets are a little more difficult.

What is Rocket Fever?

Rocket Fever is a family friendly annual event at the Columbia Memorial Space Center that walks you through the process and teaches you all about rockets!

The Columbia Memorial Space Center invites you to join in on the awesome fun of rocket building and rocket launching! The space center will host multiple Build Your Own Rocket classes throughout the day, activities for the entire family, and family-friendly music from a guest DJ! All day rocket launching (pending inspection) can be viewed at the Discovery Sports Complex baseball fields (next door to the CMSC)!

The Shave It Truck will also be on hand offering refreshing treats for all rocket fanatics! Don’t miss out on this special day that only comes once a year!

*ALL rockets will be subject to a safety inspection following NAR guidelines prior to launching.*
