On our Northern California trip, we stopped in the beautiful city of Monterey. Not wanting to stay at a hotel, we looked out for a place we could camp close to the city.
Marina Dunes RV Park was one of two public camping spots near Monterey and had something for everyone!

Whether you are using a tent, RV, 5th wheel, or just want a house by the beach, it has it all.

This was our campsite, all the tents had their own "street" and was safe from most of the vehicles. It included a campfire, BBQ, picnic table, beach sand, and a wall that protected the site from the cool ocean breeze.

The facility housed:
- Laundry room
- Hot showers
- Volleyball court
- Playground
- Horseshoe pit
- Recreation room/work out room
- Large BBQ patio area
- Beach within feet of the driveway

I was sad that we only stayed for a short overnight visit and I would like to come back soon! One piece of advice, always keep your trash and food locked securely in the trash cans or car since we had a late night visitor.
This adorable skunk dug up old nuts that were buried in the sand. It had also attempted to climb and knock over our bucket we were using for a trashcan.

If you are on a Northern California road-trip, I recommend checking out this campsite. It was reasonably priced and close to Monterey(perfect for visiting Cannery Row) and right on top of the beach.
