Over the summer, it is hard to fit in the learning that our kids need! I am always looking for ways to keep my kids learning and fun at the same time.
We recently purchased iPads for our kids because their schools are expecting them now. Some of the schools provide them but most don't. In the last year or so, my 7 year old has learned in leaps and bounds just from the educational "games" that we have downloaded.
Now that my daughter is 5 and entering Kindergarten, I worry that she might forget all that she learned in Pre-k. I am always on the lookout for new apps for her as we are often in the car driving and she can learn on the go. It also helps keep little minds occupied while waiting for food at restaurants.
I was approached to review Care Bears: Love to Learn and my daughter is hooked! While we limit iPad time each day, we do try and find apps that have what keeps their interest to help them learn.
Care Bears: Love to Learn is only available on the iPad currently but hopefully it will be available on more platforms soon!
Some of the educational games in the app included:
- Counting sweet treats
- Building shapes
- Care Bears Matching games
- Color Identifying
- Matching objects
- Music making
- Learning letters
We have had the app about a week and I hear her giggling at the app every time we get into the car. She seems to be picking up her letters and numbers faster as well.
I am glad that we got the chance to try it out! Anything that keeps peace in my car during our busy days has two thumbs up from this tired parent!
