Summer starts for us at the end of this week.  While we are going to go camping and do fun over-night trips into nature, we plan on visiting one of our fun fall backs for outdoor fun.

I am talking about Irvine Park Railroad.  The hiking is great for the younger kids as it is not too difficult and the paddle boats are always a favorite on a hot summer day.

If you are looking for a little animal adventure, check out the OC Zoo which is only a few dollars for admission.  Learn about all the indigenous species that live around us in California.

No matter what activity you enjoy, Irvine Park Railroad probably has it.

One of my personal favorites is going on a nature photo tour.  Give the kids an inexpensive camera and let them join you in a photo scavenger hunt.  You will be amazed at what they capture through a child's eye.
