Spring Cleaning Has Begun! Take the #7DaysOfSpringCleaning Challenge with Me | @OCGoodwill #ad #FindTheGood

This month, started the spring cleaning frenzy in our house.  Every spring, okay... every MONTH, I look around my house and think that we have WAY too much stuff!

I don't know about you but it gets really overwhelming really quick.  Where to start?  What do I do with all of this !@#$.  You know what I am talking about, unless you have a spotless house with no children in it, you are just as frustrated as I am.

Goodwill of Orange County had a great idea to get more organized in our houses and help create jobs in our community at the same time.  What is their idea?  A community getting together to take 7 days out of your schedule and organize one area a day.  I did this for 7 days and here is what I have to donate on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Honda Center.  The first 100 people win prizes such as signed pucks and Anaheim Ducks tickets!

7 Days of Spring Cleaning Details:

Day 1) Clear your closet clutter-  I went through my kids closets to locate clean usable clothing.

Day 2) Time to tackle the kitchen-  I recently upgraded a few appliances, in order to make room, I am donating the old appliances

Day 3) Spread holiday cheer- I always seem to go overboard buying decorations for the holidays.

Day 4) Downsize your electronics-  We recently bought a new laptop and I have been looking to donate our old one once I had erased all of my information.  Did you know they take and fix old computers?

Day 5) Clean out your kids toys

Day 6) Provide quality entertainment (unused movies, video games) We have way too many older DVD's and Play Station games that can stop collecting dust.

Day 7) Downsize your bookshelf-  I chose to donate children's books because my kids literally have hundreds of books.  I had them choose books that they had outgrown or no longer had interest in.

More useful tips to help de-clutter your house:
Now that we have done a bit of spring cleaning, who should we donate to?  My favorite organization is Goodwill of Orange County.  Why? Simply, it helps the community.  It brings hope to people that need a second chance.

People with disabilities, military families and so many more are helped by giving them a chance to find themselves through jobs.

I hope that this helped get your spring cleaning started, I know my house looks a lot cleaner.
