Knott's Blooms Spring at the Boysenberry Festival! | @Knotts #KnottsSpring

Last weekend, the Knotts Berry Bloom arrived at Knotts Berry Farm.   What is Knotts Berry Bloom?

Knotts Berry Bloom is Knotts way of welcoming spring to southern California with Spring flowers, decorations, great food/drink and my favorite, boysenberries.  Knotts is known for growing the best boysenberry jelly's and jams but did you know that they are used for seasoning a variety of different food?  Enjoy all of the Spring activities from April 12-27.

Besides the fun spring-time activities such as the hunt for the Easter Beagle, we enjoyed a fun day at the park.  The Easter Beagle has hidden Easter eggs around the park and it is your job to search him out!  Kids 3-11 get treats and prizes.

The Boysenberry Festival is new this year.  We visited this special area dedicated to showcasing the boysenberry in different foods such as a turkey leg with boysenberry glaze, boysenberry sauteed vegetables with sausage, flank-steak, chocolate covered bacon, desserts and more!

There was a special deal to try 6 of the new specialties for only $20!

Inside the Wilderness Dance Hall, a special delight for the 21 and over crowd awaits.  Sample about 30 different kinds of wines and craft beers for a nominal fee.  Learn which wines pare well with different foods.

As we strolled on the Boardwalk, we noticed another larger than life change.  What is more fun than board games?  Board games that are as big as the players!

In front of the Birdcage Theatre, we enjoyed watching some wild west activities such as pie eating contests and musical strumming.

As the night wore on, we danced to the Bloomination Dance Party at the Charleston Fountain.  The music and audience were hopping to the latest beats.

There are so many new things to check out for the Knotts Berry Bloom that we are going to come back so we can check out all the rest of the activities such as:

  • Peanuts: Party in the Park
  • Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies
  • Lucy's Really Big Show
  • Salsa Dancing
  • and of course many more rides!

I want to thank Knotts Berry Farm for treating my family to this wonderful family tradition, from Knotts family to mine.  I love sharing our adventures with my readers, especially the most memorable ones!

  1. I've never been to Knott's Berry Farm, but this looks like fun. I love that they had Peanuts characters and giant board games.
