EGG HUNTS For the Adventurous! Nothing Traditional About These Easter Egg Hunts! | #Easter

It's that time of year again. Which Easter Egg/Spring hunt are you bringing your kids too? There are the traditional egg hunts and then there are the ones for the most adventurous.

Egg hunts come in every shape and size but the ones my family like the most are the more unusual ones.

Underwater, Trains, on an Island, at night, with animals, for charity, military families, ghost towns, in the mountains or the beach, there are so many different adventures to choose from!

Avalon, Catalina Island

Held in the town of Avalon, Catalina Island center of entertainment, arts and fun, the annual Easter Egg Hunt invites children to come and find the eggs. Bring a basket or bag!

Meet at Avalon School in front of the auditorium. Easter Egg Hunt will be at the Pitch n' Putt (area between school and The Sand Trap). Egg Hunt will start right at 10am, and doesn't last long - don't be late or you will miss it!


Join us for the annual egg hunt in the water. Egg hunters of all ages will have the opportunity to collect eggs from the McMurtrey pool and will receive a goody bag for their efforts.

The more traditional egg hunt is held for youngsters age two to 12, at the beautiful Martin L. King, Jr. Community Center. This event is artfully orchestrated with specially designed backdrops rarely seen at traditional egg hunts. You gotta see it, mom & dad! The kids care mostly about one thing, however--finding the plastic colored eggs that twist undone to unveil candy and other happy surprises. The Bunny is busy making this a delightful event, so hop on down to the Center for a deliciously entertaining morning.

Festive Egg Hunt takes place among the colorful mushrooms and skillfully decorated backdrops.

The event is traditionally held the Saturday before Easter Sunday at the Community Church by the Lake. Every year 350-500 children attend this event for the free egg hunt and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. It is truly a fun filled day for the children and their families.

Crafts, giveaways, and activities for kids while usually include face painting, coloring activities, wooden airplanes, Easter Basket crafts, flower making crafts, picture frame decorating, bookmarks, stuffed animal and book give-aways, fishing for prizes games, and similar activities to entertain. Easter Egg Hunt is the highlight of a special day.

Irvine Park Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza

At Irvine Park Railroad's Easter Eggstravaganza, children and adults can ride the train through beautiful Irvine Regional Park. Children ages 2 through 12 can participate in an Easter egg hunt. Each egg is filled with candy or a prize. Easter egg hunts begin daily at 10:00 AM and tickets may be purchased to participate in an egg hunt at a specific time. Please bring an Easter basket for each child that will be participating in the Easter egg hunt. Irvine Park Railroad also offers Easter baskets for sale.

Tickets must be purchased on the day of the event in order to receive a wristband for the Easter egg hunt. Palm Desert

Local families are invited to join the underwater fun as Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department hosts an Underwater Easter Egg Hunt and Family Swim event Saturday, April 5 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the city recreation complex in the main pool.

Participants will be divided by swimming ability and age, and can take pictures with the Easter Bunny at the event.

Coachella Valley
Coachella Valley youth ages 3-10 are invited to a unique Easter egg hunt in Palm Desert, as eggs are hidden underwater for them to find.

The second annual underwater Easter egg hunt, sponsored by The Palm Desert Aquatics Center and Family YMCA of the Desert, will be held on March 31 at the aquatics center.

The not-so-typical hunt begins at 2 p.m., and costs $3 to attend. Children will be allowed to enter the pool at different times, based on age groups (see attached flier). Those 3-5 years old must be accompanied by adults.

Be sure to also bring along a waterproof basket or egg holder.  Both parents and children must pay for entry to the event.

Squaw Valley will host a series of great events for all ages this coming Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.

The resort is offering complimentary nondenominational, mountaintop services starting at 8 a.m. Aerial Tram rides to the services will be free between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m. (no equipment allowed).

Guests can also take part in an exciting Egg Hunt that spans throughout Gold Coast, High Camp, Shirley Lake and all the way down Mountain Run. The hunt for colored, candy-filled eggs will kick off as soon as the mountain opens.

After skiing, guests are invited to relax poolside at High Camp, soaking up the sun and listening to live music from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Easter Pool Party.
