 SPONGEBOB APPRECIATION DAY!
NOVEMBER 17TH AT AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC

Who has children and not heard that catchy theme song of SpongeBob SquarePants?  My children love the show and even wanted to join their best friend in dressing up as Sponge Bob for Halloween!  They opted for a red ninja and a princess in the end but it was a close call!

The Aquarium of the Pacific is hosting a special day dedicated to our favorite sponge!

The Aquarium of the Pacific will present a special day and evening dedicated to everyone’s favorite porous friend, SpongeBob SquarePants, and his Bikini Bottom friends from the Nickelodeon hit animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Activities will include costumed character appearances, free showings of the new 4D film, SpongeBob SquarePants 4D: The Great Jelly Rescue!, and an opportunity to meet the real-life sea creatures in the Aquarium’s exhibits.

Photo Ops with their favorite characters:
From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., SpongeBob and his starfish friend, Patrick, will make special appearances for meet-and-greet and photo opportunities. There will also be showings of favorite SpongeBob SquarePants episodes from the Nickelodeon animated series.

SpongeBob SquarePants 4D: The Great Jelly Rescue:
Starting at 9:30a.m., there will be hourly showings on the half hour of the brand-new 4D experience SpongeBob SquarePants 4D: The Great Jelly Rescue! Guests will join SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy on a wild 4D adventure to rescue the jellyfish of Jellyfish Fields from Plankton’s evil clutches. With stunning 3-D graphics and a dramatic assortment of scents and sounds, viewers will surf through the electrifying swarm of jellies, get dragged into the bowels of the Flying Dutchman’s ghost ship, and even feel the rumble of a cannon. The theatre experience is a partnership between Nickelodeon, SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment, and Super 78 Studios.

Aquarium members:
Additional themed activities will continue exclusively for Members, including music, special giveaways, and more from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
