OC Parks November Events | @OCParks #COSTAMESA


The OC Fair & Event Center is home to a variety of events throughout the year. Here is the current November 2013 events calendar:

November 2013 at the OC Fair & Event Center

November 1st:

The Electric Run is the nation's premier, nighttime 5k run/walk experience, where participants are an integrated part of the show. With immersive "lands" of light and sound that transport the participant into an electric wonderland, Electric Run promises to transport the mind, body and soul to a new world in a healthy and drug-free way.

Hours: Friday 7-10 p.m.

Admission/Registration: Teams (4+) $40-$65 per person, Individual $45-$70

November 1-3

The Woodworking Show
For 30 years, The Woodworking Show has provided woodworkers an outlet for their passion through tools, education and a unique sense of community with a hands-on trade show for woodworkers across the U.S.

Hours: Friday Noon-6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

November 2 

Centennial Farm Free Garden Class “Urban Chickens Demystified:” American Poultry Association (APA) Members Therry Vargas and Lindsey Koob will focus on what is needed to raise healthy, happy and productive backyard chickens. Seating is limited, online pre-registration is requested but walk-ups will be accepted if space is still available the day of the class. Call (714) 708-1619 to confirm spaces are still available.

November 11 

Veterans + Labor Community Celebration
Join us for a free Veterans Day community celebration to say thank you to our veterans with live music, art projects for children and adults to create "thank you" gifts for veterans, care package donation collections, historical military vehicles on display, free hot dogs, and veterans organizations on-hand offering services and information for veterans.

Hours: Monday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Sugar Plum Arts, Crafts, Antiques & Collectibles
Sugar Plum Festivals is a shopping tradition with gifts to warm the heart and accessories that make a home for each holiday celebration.

Hours: Thursday-Friday 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

November 23-24 

SoCal Indian Center's 45th Annual Pow Wow
A family event with activities for children plus authentic American Indian dancing, singing, arts, crafts, food and shopping. Attendees who donate an unwrapped toy or two non-perishable food items will be entered for a chance in win the opportunity drawing.

Hours: Saturday 10 a.m.- 10 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Admission: General $5, Senior (55+) $3, Teens (13-18) $3 (Children 12 & younger are free)

Repticon - A Reptile & Exotic Animal Expo Two-day marketplace and expo featuring local and regional breeders and vendors selling reptile pets, supplies, feeders, cages and merchandise, plus hourly raffles, educational seminars and activities for children.

Hours: Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (VIP Early Entry at 9 a.m.), Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Admission: General $10, Child (5-12) $5 (Children under 5 are free)
Two-Day VIP Ticket General $15 and Child $5 available for pre-purchase at Repticon.com.

Crossroads of the West Gun Show
For more than 30 years, the Crossroads of the West Gun Shows has been the largest and highest quality gun show on the West Coast.

Hours: Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Admission: $16 (Children 11 and younger are free)

November 2013 Weekly Events
Centennial Farm
Three-acre working farm designed to educate youth and their families about agriculture and its importance to daily life with fruit and vegetable gardens, livestock and the Millennium Barn.

Hours: Monday-Friday 1-4 p.m., Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Closed November 11 and 28-29

Food Truck Fare – Wednesday (After Dark) & Thursday (Lunch)

Enjoy a gourmet food truck meal twice a week at the OC Fair & Event Center. Wednesday features gourmet dinner options with entertainment and a cash bar while Thursday features lunch options from a variety of food trucks. Held near the Pacific Amphitheatre Box Office, enter at Gate 1 off Fair Drive.

Hours: Wednesday 5:30-9 p.m., Thursday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
