Most people are familiar with Knotts Scary Farm but there is a lighter side to Halloween time at Knotts, for young families.
Last week, my family was invited to check out all of the family fun activities that Camp Spooky at Knotts Berry Farm. What is Camp Spooky? Camp Spooky is the not so scary Halloween event for kids 11 and under.
Camp Spooky introduces young kids to Halloween and Dia de las Muertas and gives them a fun trick or treat time that doesn't include being scared. All of their favorite rides have a slightly spooky aura to them but are very kid friendly.
Kids are encouraged to dress up and can receive small treats and enjoy a fun filled October day at Knotts Berry Farm.
We enjoyed breakfast at the Grizzly Creek Lodge, it had a great selection of pastries, sausage, bacon, and fruit.
Knotts Camp Spooky is best experienced with friends.
Making not so spooky ghosts to go into your yard. So Easy!

Each child that dresses up, receives a goody bag to go find goody stations.

The Creepy Crawly Critter Cave was a hit with the kids!
Mom wasn't allowed to go on this ride because the "big kids" were old enough!
All of Camp Spooky rides were fun for the whole family!

The Huff and Puff ride was perfect for expending that extra energy!

Other great activities included:
- “Snoopy’s Costume Contest” Kids who arrive in their Halloween costumes, show off their duds as they join the PEANUTS characters in a fun parade through Camp Spooky.
- “Charlie Brown’s Spooktacular Show”, will have you singing and dancing in the aisles to all your favorite Halloween tunes.
- Monster Factory is a fun interactive maze where the little ones create the things that go bump in the night.
- “Scary Stories at the Lodge” where master story tellers will spin the craziest, creepiest, silliest tales this side of the “Great Pumpkin Patch”.
- “Kooky Cookie Painting” little monsters can get creative and decorate cookies for a small fee.
