Win a $50 Gift Card from The Children's Place! | @ChildrensPlace #Giveaway

Have you been scrambling to find that perfect costume or Halloween shirt for your little ones? Have you checked out The Children's Place?

I was given the cutest Halloween shirts for my 4 and 6 year old and after looking at the costumes online, it made me wish that they were babies again so they could fit into the adorable toddler costumes!

Photos by The Children's Place

I love the great selection of holiday clothes that always have. They also have been great for finding the cute additions to my children's school uniforms. While public schools have moved onto uniforms, there is still room for creativity if you know where to look. Their school clothes allow individuality while still abiding by school rules.

I have been blessed with a great giveaway so you can check out the fun fall fashions for yourself!

How would you like a $50 gift-card to The Children's Place?

Have a Smurfy Halloween! Our Smurftastic Party at @SonyAnimation Studios | #SmurfyHollow

Last week, Sony Home Entertainment and Sony Studios invited my family to enjoy an afternoon at Sony Animation Studio's to celebrate SMURFS: Legend of Sleepy Hollow coming out onto DVD and digital.

We were treated to a Smurf-tastic time coloring crafts, eating doughnuts, decorating pumpkins, taking pictures with our favorite blue people, and of course, watching the movie.

Decorating Trick or Treat Bags with friends

Enjoying watching the artist carving the pumpkins and having a hand at it ourselves.

Soon it was time to head into the screening room and watch the movie!

There were wonderful artifacts from the movie on the way in.  Our favorite was the Smurf in the cage.  A prop for the artists in the movie.  The seri-cels showed the process that went into the making of Smurfs: Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

After the movie, we enjoyed the last of the day by taking pictures with the Smurfs themselves and even getting Smurf-ified by the artists on hand.

We had a wonderful time and we can't thank Fox Studio's enough for their wonderful hospitality and gracious artists that share their craft with us!  My kids have wonderful memories of this Halloween and I hope that everyone has a safe and Smurfy Halloween.

Who Will You Be For Halloween? Goodwill Halloween! | @OCGoodwill #BuildaScare

Do you have a costume in mind but don't have the money to buy a fancy pre-made costume?

What about those unique one-of-a-kind costumes that you create in your head but need to make it from scratch?  I have the solution for you.  You can make a costume CHEAP and make it YOU.

Go to your local Goodwill to find everything that you want very inexpensive!  Remember, Goodwill doesn't only carry used items.  I know the thought of wearing clothes that someone else has wore before can creep people out.  I personally do not buy used under garments or shoes... ewww!

Goodwill carries many discounted clothes that still have the tags!  Clothes that were purchased from large companies at slashed prices to raise money to help the community "Find The Good".

Goodwill for the Halloween season carries products that you won't see year round.   Do you need makeup for your costume?  Got it.  Feather boas, hats, adult footed pj's? Yup got those too.

There were a large selection of adult and child size Halloween shirts for those that don't want to dress up or at least not for the whole month of October...

Halloween decorations are a must in our house and there were no shortage at the OC Goodwill in Tustin.  I even found great crafts for my children for a couple dollars that made a wooden haunted house and bat tree!

Whatever you plan on this year, be sure to take a picture of your home-made creative masterpieces and send them to the OC Goodwill on Facebook to win great prizes.

I was invited to a OC Goodwill "Build a Scare" party at the Tustin Goodwill to try our own hand at building our own masterpieces.  The results were mixed but we had so much fun and won our own great prizes!

"Day of the Disco Dead"                                      "Super Heroes On Vacation"

In case you were wondering... I was the one wearing the 5 inch fluorescent heels!

                         "Hippie Zombie"                                             "Granny Gaga"

We had so much fun with the categories were given!  We were given about 15 minutes to search the Goodwill store to find the best costumes and compete for gift-cards!  My team, won more than half the prizes!

I would do this again in a heartbeat!  Find your own creations at the Goodwill and be sure to upload your pics to win prizes at https://facebook.com/ocgoodwill.

Strictly Sail Was Fun! | #SSLB #LONG BEACH #Review

Strictly Sail was a new event for me.  I had never been to it but really looked forward to learning more about what fun water activities we were missing out on!

If you were in the market for purchasing a sail boat, there were amazing sailboats that you could live on full time comfortably!  If you already had a boat, there were plenty of accessories and services that you could use to make boating even more enjoyable.

My daughter had made up her mind that we were buying a boat and she had found the perfect pink specimen.  It was even her size!

Did you know that there are solar panels that flex and is used on boats, RV's and more that you can walk on?

Even on the most beautiful days, you can get chilly on the sparkling sea.  Strictly Sail had warm jackets and more to make you stylish and warm.

Don't know how to sail?  Don't worry, we tried the sailboat similator and even my 6 year old could drive it.  Though we were on land, we felt like we were on the high seas.

After the simulator, we enjoyed making adorable souvenirs, our own sailboats!

We were treated to harbor cruise on the Bama Breeze.  Off to look for sea life, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset with a fun and knowledgeable crew.

Our favorite area of Strictly Sail was the try it water fun area.  You could tryout remote control boats, kayaks, paddle boards and paddle board/kayak hybrids called Hasaki boards.

While we tried out the Hasaki Board, we caught a family of raccoon's wondering what all the fuss was about.

I wish we could have stayed longer but it was getting dark and it was time to close up.

I hope that you get the chance to check out Strictly Sail next year when it comes to town again, take the kids and learn how you can learn to love the spray of salt air.

Check out more on Strictly Sail Long Beach on their website www.strictlysaillongbeach.com.
